Gulf Greetings General Trading LLC ("Company") is a leading retail company based in Dubai. The Company has been established for over 30 years within the market starting from a wholesale origin and moving into the retail market.

The Company trades under two brands – Hallmark (through a licensing and distribution agreement) and their own branded "The Toy Store".

There are 42 retail stores (35 Hallmark and 7 The Toy Store) that span across the entire UAE. The Company also has a successful wholesale & consignment channel and have recently launched it's the Toy Store website called mytoystore.com.

Hallmark

Hallmark is a global brand and is well recognized in the region as the greeting card specialist. Hallmark stores focus on greeting cards, paper products, gifts and a selection of toys.

The Company focuses on providing customers with the products that help express their feelings for all those special occasions.

The Toy Store

The Toy Store was set up in 2004 and has grown successfully since its launch. The Toy Store is one of the leading toy specialists in the region.

The Toy Store customer experience is to provide an entertaining and enjoyable environment for the family to come and buy toys.

The brand prides itself for having the largest selection of branded toys in the region as well as bringing products in that are new to the region.

Wholesale & Consignment

The Company wholesale is a very successful channel, and is the official distributors of numerous leading international gift and toy brands. The Company holds the rights for Carte Blanche, Rubiks and XX to name a few.

TheToyStore.com

The Toy Store has recently launched its own e-commerce website for the region called www.TheToyStore.com and is excited as to its future in the market. The Company plans to have all its products available online going forward.

History

Established in 1980 by Richard and Mona Blair, Gulf Greetings began with a variety of wholesale outlets in shops and supermarkets around the Gulf. This was followed by a single retail outlet in the heart of Dubai catering to a very small market, selling greetings cards, posters and a range of gifts. In the early nineties shopping traditions began to change; stronger brands were in demand and a more professional approach was necessary to appeal to an ever-growing and international consumer market. In that period, Gulf Greetings realized that evolving with the market was the only way forward and secured sites in all new mall developments. 

Gulf Greetings developed a strong name in the local market, both encouraging and educating people in the greetings card and gift industry. Seasons that were predominantly western celebrations, such as 'Valentine's Day', soon became embraced and commercially celebrated by the majority of the Middle Eastern population. After 30 years, Gulf Greetings today is the result of what can only be described as dedicated perseverance in delivering an outstanding vision of success. Today, with almost 400 employees and 60 retail outlets across the Middle East, it is clear that our determination has not faded and is visible daily across the dedicated Gulf Greetings team.
